Raleigh, NC – Parrott Benefit Group is excited to announce the addition of two employees to their Raleigh office. Parrott’s newest team members, John W. Kelly and Lauren Frank, further strengthen the company’s proven service offerings and continuous growth over the past few years.
John W. Kelly – Business Growth Specialist

John comes to Parrot Benefit Group after nearly 4 years as Managing Director at Lumina Benefits where he specialized in helping employers develop a high-value benefits strategy, so that they and their employees get a better care experience while spending less. Prior to Lumina Benefits, he spent over 20 years as a business, brand, and innovation strategist who advised clients on ways to drive business growth. He is also one of only eleven Advisors in North Carolina that is accredited by The Health Rosetta, a national organization that is accelerating the local adoption of practical, proven, and high-value solutions to healthcare.
Moving from a brand/marketing role into health care consulting, John will join the business development team at Parrott. He will be able to use his long-time industry experience to build collaborative, trust-based relationships with new clients and use data-driven insights to help employers find superior benefit options that reduce cost and improve plan satisfaction.
Kelly graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He lives in Raleigh, NC with his wife and two sons. He currently serves on the Board of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (Carolinas Chapter), is active with Christ Church and Wake Relief, is a past board member of the Downtown Raleigh Alliance, and is a member of the inaugural fundraising committee for the Contemporary Art Museum (CAM Raleigh).
Lauren Frank – Individual Sales Specialist
“I am excited to join the close-knit team at Parrott and help provide a seamless customer experience in finding the right coverage for our customers and their family’s needs.”
Lauren interned at Parrott Benefit Group in the summer of 2019. She rejoins the Parrott team after 2 years at Policygenius Inc. where she worked in insurance product sales and client communications. She is licensed in Accident, Health, Life, and Long-Term Care Insurance.
As a part of the individual department at Parrott, Lauren will be helping to manage the renewal/enrollment season. She will also aid in the growth of the company’s individual business and support it’s expanding market.
Lauren graduated from Cleveland State University in 2022 with a Masters in Health Care Administration and double minor in Marketing and General Business. She made Dean’s list for multiple semesters and was also a student athlete.
